I decided to build up a 1983 Mustang last year. Bought a high performance engine from BluePrint motors. Has been in the car for a year and runs great The old C5 transmission that was in it just wasn’t up to the task. It was getting bad. I ordered a high performance AOD transmission from Lentech. Since it had to be done perfectly with the pressures, linkage, etc I had to find someone that knew what they were doing. There no good mechanics in my hometown of Chillicothe. I stumbled upon C&R by accident on the Internet. Drove up there, and talked to Randy. When I left there I knew he knew what he was doing. It took him several days but he pays attention to detail. I could write several pages about how much he cared about having everything perfect. He really cares about his work. I found him very personable, and very talented with his work. I will drive the 180 mile round trip to have him work my stuff.

I was visiting Kirksville from out of town and had a brake caliper seize on my car. The affected brake got so hot smoke was rolling from behind the tire. Since I was across the street from them in a parking lot to let the brake cool off I called. They were busy, but understood the situation and scheduled room for my repair. They were very helpful and very courteous. The repair was completed in an hour and I was on my way. Charges for parts and labor were actually a bit less than I anticipated. But it was the courteous service that I noticed the most. Thanks Randy! and everyone at C&R for saving the day for me!
